Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Break Arm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kreg Yamovitch!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arm with a lazy takedown attempt
and Yamovitch counters with a left and a right that stings Arm.
Arm has his takedown stuffed
and Yamovitch counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Yamovitch has managed to clinch.
Yamovitch's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Yamovitch continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
A short body shot lands from Yamovitch as the two fighters clinch.
Yamovitch breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Arm with a poor takedown
and Yamovitch counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Break Arm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yamovitch throws a leg kick but Arm sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Yamovitch throws a sloppy head kick and Arm moves out of range easily.
Yamovitch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Yamovitch misses with a kick to the body.
Arm blocks a leg kick.
Arm takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Arm shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Yamovitch counters with a nice low kick that buckles Arm's knee momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Arm fails with the takedown
and Yamovitch counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Yamovitch misses with a low kick as Arm jumps back.
Arm shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Yamovitch counters with a head kick. That will keep Arm thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Arm is breathing heavily.
Yamovitch thumps Arm with a low kick.
Yamovitch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fighters circle, before Yamovitch throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Arm's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Yamovitch lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Kreg Yamovitch!
