Dawson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lambda Lambda Lambda Song. Dudley Dawson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 45 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dudley Dawson!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Renato Silva has been cut.
Dawson clinches.
Dawson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva misses the body punch
and Dawson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Dawson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dawson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Renato Silva just wasn't active enough.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dawson as he jumps to the side.

Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dawson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Silva is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
