Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geddy Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Holmes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Geddy Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Holmes! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee throws a leg kick that is checked and Holmes holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Holmes landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Lee is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Lee is looking to take this one to the mat. Holmes breaks from the clinch.
Holmes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Holmes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lee is looking to improve his position but Holmes isn't that keen on the idea. Lee is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee warns Lee that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lee is desperately trying to improve his position but Holmes has a good base and remains in mount. Holmes misses with a head shot. Holmes throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Lee is looking to get to half guard. Holmes punching from mount but Lee doing a good job of avoiding damage. Lee wants to hold on but Holmes pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holmes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Holmes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying to escape the mount.
Holmes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Holmes swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lee is now in Holmes's guard. A big mistake from Holmes there, giving up the dominant position! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lee is looking to stand up but Holmes won't let him.

Rob Holmes has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Holmes moves away from the strike by Lee. Holmes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lee is trying to defend but Holmes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Holmes passes into side control, despite Lee's attempt to control the position.
Lee manages to get back to half guard. Lee wants to control the action here but instead Holmes manages to pass to full mount! Holmes jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lee manages to avoid the submission attempt. You can see the frustration on Lee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Holmes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Lee is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't. Holmes prevents Lee from escaping the position. Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lee bucks up and tries to throw Holmes off but instead Holmes has got his back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Holmes not allowing Lee to control his hands. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holmes has good solid back control here. Lee looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Holmes dominated that round. That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Holmes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lee moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Holmes throws a nice head kick!
Holmes needs to keep his hands up - Lee had a free shot at his head there. Holmes forces Lee back against the cage and clinches. Lee trying to control the position but instead, Holmes has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lee into the cage. Lee has had enough of the clinch but Holmes keeps him there for the moment. Holmes putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Lee in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Holmes manages to pull guard.
Holmes pushes Lee off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Holmes on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee lands a jab to the nose. Lee misses the jab. Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Holmes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lee's efforts to push away. Lee lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Holmes jumps into guard, dragging Lee to the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Holmes has his feet on Lee's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Holmes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Holmes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Holmes shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Holmes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Holmes with that takedown attempt. Lee with a nice cross. Holmes shoots in looking for a takedown but Lee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Holmes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Geddy Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Holmes. Lee throws a chopping leg kick but Holmes manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A big right from Lee misses. Lee scores with a hook. Lee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lee lands with a left to the head. Lee goes for a takedown attempt but Holmes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holmes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Holmes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Holmes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lee. Holmes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

He's got his arms around Holmes's waist but Holmes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side. Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lee lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Holmes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Holmes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee looks to land a right hand but Holmes moved out of range. Lee sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Holmes looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Geddy Lee will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Lee displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Lee throws a right and a left that both miss. Lee throws a nice looking combination but Holmes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Holmes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Holmes circles away quickly and effectively. Holmes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab. Holmes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee. Holmes moves into the clinch successfully.

Can Holmes avoid being mounted? Holmes is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Holmes is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard. The ref stands the fighters back up because Geddy Lee just wasn't active enough. Holmes drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.

He used the cage to his advantage there. Holmes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Some wild striking there from Lee.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Lee is predictable there and Holmes counters by moving into the clinch. Lee wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Holmes blocks a body shot from Lee. Holmes lands an elbow inside that Lee shrugs off. Lee is trying to stall.

Rob Holmes has got the better of the ground game so far. Holmes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lee is looking to stand up but Holmes won't let him. Holmes uses the cage to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Holmes moves forwards but Lee connects with a nice, crisp jab. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Holmes - that will leave a mark!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee trying to hold on to Holmes's head to control him but Holmes postures up.

And that's the end of the fight! Rob Holmes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Holmes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
