PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister Pink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pink is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mitsa. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bull fails with a takedown attempt.
Pink looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Bull looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bull shoots in but Pink avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Pink changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bull tries to avoid it but Pink manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bull to the ground. Bull escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bull comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

so Pink counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bull looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pink with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bull wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pink keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pink can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pink really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bull. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bull feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Bull.
Well Bull has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
