Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryou Misaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock has chosen Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue as his entrance music. Ryou Misaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryou Misaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chuck Shamrock! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Misaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shamrock swats him away and circles back towards the center. Misaki tries to clinch but Shamrock moves out of range. Shamrock moves into the clinch. Shamrock is working Misaki over against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Shamrock's face as he tries to break the clinch. Misaki putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Shamrock in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Misaki is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Shamrock is defending well for now. Shamrock stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Shamrock punishes Misaki's body with a nice straight punch.

Shamrock is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shamrock gets through Misaki's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Shamrock is trying to break the clinch but Misaki has him pressed against the cage. Shamrock is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Misaki is keeping busy. Misaki pushes off an throws an elbow but Shamrock leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Misaki using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Shamrock has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shamrock is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Shamrock. Shamrock circles away from the clinch attempt.

Misaki moves to clinch but Shamrock breaks away and Shamrock counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Misaki tries to clinch but fails miserably and Shamrock counters with a lovely straight right hand! Shamrock is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Misaki had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Shamrock ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Shamrock thuds a left hand into Misaki's body. Misaki is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Shamrock. Shamrock lands with an uppercut that bounces Misaki off the cage and back into range. Shamrock lands with a nice body punch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The fight stays on the outside here - Misaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Misaki moves in looking to clinch but Shamrock pushes him off. Misaki looks to clinch and Shamrock counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuck Shamrock dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shamrock closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Misaki to the mat! Misaki manages to get full guard. Shamrock prevents Misaki from getting back to his feet. Shamrock content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Shamrock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Misaki swivels though and keeps the full guard. Misaki wants to stand and escape but Shamrock is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shamrock is in close to Misaki's body, working some short punches and elbows. Shamrock won't allow Misaki to get back to his feet. Shamrock wanted to stand there but Misaki had control of the position. Misaki keeping moving, preventing Shamrock from controlling successfully. Misaki has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Shamrock off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Shamrock comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A nice combination there by Shamrock.

Misaki moves into the clinch. Shamrock takes an elbow to the temple. Misaki lands an elbow that stopped Shamrock in his tracks for a moment. Misaki keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shamrock's efforts to push away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shamrock is pushing Misaki up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Shamrock breaks from the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Chuck Shamrock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shamrock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
