Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Austin Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcracken has chosen 10cc - Dreadlock Holiday as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Austin Fowler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Mcracken! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcracken is looking to clinch. Fowler keeps the fight on the outside. A slow jab from Fowler misses its intended target. Mcracken displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fowler. Fowler looking to score a takedown here. Mcracken is defending well but Fowler drives through and ends up in Mcracken's guard. Fowler trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Mcracken manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Mcracken loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fowler avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Fowler regains full guard. Nicely done. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mcracken working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fowler's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcracken stands up over Fowler, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mcracken is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Fowler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mcracken. Mcracken with a flurry of punches that miss. Mcracken throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fowler works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mcracken is pushing down on Fowler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fowler is fighting to maintain full guard but Mcracken has managed to sneak the leg through. Mcracken controlling the action here. Mcracken throwing shots but Fowler is blocking nicely. Mcracken is trying to control the action in half guard but Fowler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mcracken wants to work for an arm triangle but Fowler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcracken prevents Fowler from improving his position. Mcracken has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mcracken trying to control from half guard but Fowler is working away. Fowler works his way to full guard. Good work. Mcracken won't allow Fowler to sweep him here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fowler controls Mcracken momentarily but Mcracken frees himself. Fowler working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mcracken has passed into half guard!
Mcracken lands with a punch from half guard. Well, if Mcracken is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcracken wants to pass to mount but Fowler is defending the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fowler tries to roll over but Mcracken keeps him under control. Mcracken looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mcracken wants to pass to mount but Fowler is defending the position. Mcracken is trying to control the action in half guard but Fowler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fowler gets full guard. Mcracken preventing the sweep. Fowler trying to control the position.
Fowler has momentary wrist control but Mcracken slips an elbow through the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcracken missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fowler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fowler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mcracken scoring with punches to the head and body. Mcracken trying to control but Fowler is working from the bottom. Fowler is trying to hold Mcracken in close to prevent damage but Mcracken has managed to pass into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mcracken seems to be working for a kimura but Fowler defends the submission attempt. Fowler is pressing down on Mcracken's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fowler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mcracken postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil Mcracken dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Mcracken just misses with a punch to the body.
Fowler thows a body shot but no joy. Mcracken throws a jab but it's blocked by Fowler. Fowler moves out of range of the strikes. Mcracken with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fowler to score with a decent uppercut. Mcracken doesn't manage to clinch there - Fowler circles away.
Fowler misses the shot to the body. Fowler throws out a loose jab but Mcracken uses good head movement to avoid it. Fowler closes the distance and clinches up with Mcracken, looking for a takedown. Fowler pushes Mcracken against the cage but Mcracken circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mcracken feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fowler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mcracken lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mcracken passes Fowler's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mcracken trying to control the pace. Mcracken not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fowler wants to improve his position but Mcracken is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fowler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Fowler wants to sweep but no luck. Mcracken thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mcracken pushes down on Fowler's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mcracken passes to side control. Mcracken lands a decent elbow from side control. Mcracken is chipping away with strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fowler tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mcracken wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fowler is not content to let Mcracken control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fowler is trying to improve his position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mcracken working the ground and pound. Mcracken working the head and body with strikes. Phil Mcracken has got the better of the ground game so far. Fowler tries to improve position but can't. Fowler throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Fowler tries to buck Mcracken off but Mcracken is having none of it. Mcracken wants to control but Fowler is keeping him busy. Mcracken scores with punches from side control.
Fowler is rocked! Mcracken scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Fowler is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Mcracken can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Mcracken! A determined Phil Mcracken didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
