Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan McCarthy! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Son shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McCarthy defends it nicely. McCarthy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Son fails to land the takedown. Son walks forward, straight into a front kick from McCarthy. Son connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Son misses with a body kick. McCarthy closes the distance and clinches. Son drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Son will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
