Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sidney Aron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Mattize Grovinsky!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grovinsky displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aron.
Aron gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Grovinsky tries a head kick but it misses.

Grovinsky drops Aron with a nice combination! Grovinsky dives into Aron's guard, looking to finish!


It looks like Sidney Aron has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Aron utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Grovinsky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sidney Aron wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Grovinsky throws a head kick that Aron semi-blocks.

Grovinsky cracks Aron with an uppercut from hell and Aron crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Grovinsky's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Grovinsky working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Aron is looking to control Grovinsky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aron avoid being mounted?

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We're going to have a standup here because Sidney Aron wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Grovinsky lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Aron or not.

Still in the clinch, Grovinsky scores with a nice short uppercut.
Grovinsky lands a good knee to the midsection. Aron won't want to take too many of those.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Oh Aron is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Grovinsky has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Aron goes down! Grovinsky pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!
