Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Adamson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Jones! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in and drives through. Adamson sprawls well. Adamson tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Adamson throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Adamson moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Adamson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Adamson tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Adamson tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control. Adamson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Jones kicks Adamson off and gets to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jones escapes and throws Adamson's legs to the side, diving into side control! Jones landing a few strikes. Adamson is looking for a sweep. Adamson wants to control but Jones postures up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Adamson is not content to let Jones control the position. Adamson on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Adamson has an active guard here but Jones has managed to pass into half guard.
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Adamson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones throwing shots but Adamson is blocking nicely.
