Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Flanagen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erikson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, PrideFC. Flanagen has chosen Good Day To Die as his entrance music. Tom Erikson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikson feints and as Flanagen raises his hands in defense, Erikson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Flanagen controls Erikson momentarily but Erikson frees himself.
Erikson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Flanagen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Erikson manages to get himself to full guard.
Erikson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Erikson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Erikson has Flanagen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Erikson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Flanagen tumbling to the mat - Erikson dives into Flanagen's guard.
Erikson is pushing down on Flanagen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flanagen is fighting to maintain full guard but Erikson has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flanagen is looking for a sweep. Erikson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Erikson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Flanagen to regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Flanagen is on top in guard.
Erikson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Erikson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Erikson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Erikson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Erikson misses with a head shot. Flanagen uses the momentum to regain guard.
Flanagen looking for a sweep. Not yet Flanagen, not yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Erikson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Erikson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Flanagen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Erikson is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flanagen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Erikson won't allow Flanagen to sweep him here.
Erikson lands a couple of digs.

Erikson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Erikson is working Flanagen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flanagen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Erikson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Flanagen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Erikson gets to his feet and stands over Flanagen, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Flanagen felt that one! Erikson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Flanagen from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Erikson!
Post fight, Tom Erikson stared into the camera and said 'Pride never dies'.
