Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arttu Attila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Vogelpohl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arttu Attila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chuck Vogelpohl!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vogelpohl throws a low kick but Attila moves out of range easily.
Attila fails with the takedown
and Vogelpohl counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vogelpohl takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Vogelpohl turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Vogelpohl does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A bone on bone clash there as Attila blocks the leg kick.
Attila closes the distance and clinches up with Vogelpohl, looking for a takedown. Attila pushes Vogelpohl against the cage but Vogelpohl circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Attila has his takedown stuffed
and Vogelpohl counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arttu Attila. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chuck Vogelpohl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vogelpohl throws a leg kick which misses Attila's front leg but catches the back leg as Attila tries to avoid it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Attila is breathing heavily.
Vogelpohl looks to score with a jab to the body but Attila is just out of range.
Vogelpohl throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A low kick from Vogelpohl is predictable there
letting Attila counter with a right hand.
Vogelpohl's jab looks to have found its range, popping Attila under the eye.
Attila fails with the takedown
and Vogelpohl connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vogelpohl ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Vogelpohl scores with a shot to the body.
Vogelpohl lands a lovely overhand right.
Nice defenses there by Attila.
Vogelpohl swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vogelpohl paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Vogelpohl thows a body shot but no joy.
Vogelpohl ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Attila moves away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vogelpohl tries to sprawl but Attila drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Vogelpohl working for a triangle but Attila defends it easily.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vogelpohl holds on and takes a little breather.
Vogelpohl is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Attila is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Vogelpohl looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Vogelpohl working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Attila doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Attila manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Attila has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Attila is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vogelpohl has his foot on Attila's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Attila works his way back into a safe position though.

Vogelpohl had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Attila defends it easily.
Attila is fighting to break Vogelpohl's control of his arms but Vogelpohl is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Attila stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vogelpohl swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vogelpohl is looking for a triangle but Attila pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Attila is in close to Vogelpohl's body, working some short punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Vogelpohl dominated that round.

Attila takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Vogelpohl with a hook.
Vogelpohl tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Vogelpohl walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Attila checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Attila shoots for a takedown but Vogelpohl saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Vogelpohl swings for the body but Attila moves out of range.
Attila looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vogelpohl is fending him off so far but Attila persists. Nope, Vogelpohl circles away and we're back to standing.

A lazy left from Vogelpohl finds it's target.
Vogelpohl throws out a loose jab but Attila uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vogelpohl thumps Attila with a low kick.
Attila uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vogelpohl.
Vogelpohl keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vogelpohl connects with a leg kick. Attila looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Vogelpohl jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Vogelpohl lands with a hook. Attila tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Vogelpohl throws an overhand right that lands on Attila's shoulder, as Attila tries to avoid the shot.
Vogelpohl throws a low kick, looking for Attila's leg but Attila calmly moves out of range.
Attila fails with a takedown attempt.
Chuck Vogelpohl seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Vogelpohl dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Vogelpohl throws out a leg kick but Attila moves out of range and Vogelpohl only half commits.
Attila takes a jab right on the kisser.
Vogelpohl thows a left - swing and a miss!

Attila looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Attila takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vogelpohl throws a pinpoint strike between Attila's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Attila crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Vogelpohl scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chuck Vogelpohl!
