Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Nesi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Tokill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nesi comes to the cage accompanied by Van Canto - Battery. Ivan Tokill is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ed Nesi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivan Tokill!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nesi closes the distance and clinches.
Stalling in the clinch from Nesi.
Tokill throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nesi blocks it with crossed arms.
Nesi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tokill misses with a knee to the head.

Nesi breaks from the clinch.

Nesi drives through and clinches with Tokill against the cage.
Nesi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tokill backwards.
Tokill tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Tokill throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nesi blocks it with crossed arms.
Nesi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Tokill misses with a knee to the head.
Nesi using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tokill has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tokill lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nesi is trying to stand back up but Tokill is controlling him
Tokill looks to land a strike but Nesi avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Nesi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tokill is controlling him.
Tokill wants to control from the top but Nesi keeps moving.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tokill cracks Nesi with a solid left hand.
Tokill throws a big elbow that misses.
Tokill is working Nesi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Tokill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tokill wants to control from the top but Nesi keeps moving.
Tokill postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Nesi trying to keep a closed guard but Tokill is proving a slippery customer.
Tokill throws a big elbow that misses.
Nesi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tokill loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Nesi keeping moving, preventing Tokill from controlling successfully.
Tokill throws a big right hand that misses.
Nesi wants to get back to his feet but Tokill is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tokill is in close to Nesi's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Tokill is looking to work some ground and pound but Nesi has wrist control.
Tokill controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tokill throwing strikes from guard but Nesi blocks nicely.

Let's hope that Tokill has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tokill is looking to work some ground and pound but Nesi has wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Nesi throws out a powerful jab.
Ed Nesi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tokill with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nesi to score with a decent uppercut.
Nesi works over Tokill's head and body with a nice combination.
Nesi sizes up Tokill with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Tokill throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nesi scores with a jab to the head.
Tokill tries to clinch there but Nesi circles away.
Tokill moves in looking to clinch but Nesi pushes him off.
Nesi throws the left hand but Tokill avoids the punch easily.
Nesi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tokill was well out of range. Poor timing from Nesi.

Ed Nesi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nesi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tokill circles away quickly and effectively.

Nesi closes the distance and clinches.
Nesi stops a takedown attempt from Tokill.
Tokill is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nesi steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Tokill is out on his feet! Nesi sets himself and nearly takes Tokill's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
