Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Sagawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Flinch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Flinch told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert Flinch!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagawa feints and then cracks Flinch's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Flinch down.
Flinch takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Flinch drops his hands momentarily and Sagawa takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Robert Flinch has been cut.
Sagawa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sagawa looks to score with a jab to the body but Flinch is just out of range.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sagawa.
Sagawa buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sagawa throws a head kick but Flinch moves out of range.

Hideo Sagawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sagawa stuns Flinch with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Flinch looks winded!
Flinch walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sagawa.
Flinch takes one to the chin there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sagawa throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sagawa lands a nice hook to Flinch's body. Flinch takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sagawa fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sagawa connects with the punch.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Sagawa! Flinch is out on his feet! Sagawa rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Flinch is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Flinch is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
