The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Markanen sprawls well initially but Boy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Boy is keen to just control but Markanen is a slippery customer.
Boy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Boy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Markanen keeps working.
Boy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Markanen is looking to improve his position.
Boy is looking to take a break and control but Markanen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The cut above Anton Markanen's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Cosh Boy decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
