Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Stinker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Cua!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cua with a hook.
Cua throws the left hand but Stinker avoids the punch easily.
Cua lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stinker at a distance.
Cua looks to score with a jab to the body but Stinker is just out of range.

Stinker gets tackled into the cage by Cua. Cua maintains the clinch.
Cua holding his opponent close, against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Cua.
Cua lands a shoulder strike.
Cua gets through Stinker's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Cua lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Cua presses Stinker against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Stinker doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cua scores with a shot to the side of Stinker's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Cua blocks an uppercut.
Cua lands a right hand.


Stinker is rocked!
A nice right hand lands inside from Cua.
Oh Stinker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cua blocking some punches.

A frustrated look appears on Stinker's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stinker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cua lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Cua throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Stinker is breathing heavily.
Cua lands an uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Cua.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stinker tries to work over Cua's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Cua receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Cua scores with a shoulder strike.
Cua lands with a right to the head.
Cua throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Stinkers head.
Cua stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A short left from Cua.
Cua lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stinker backwards.
Cua is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Cua lands a left hand.
Cua lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Stinker or not.
Cua is stalling here.
Cua scores with a shot to the side of Stinker's head.
Stinker is trying to force a seperation but Cua has the dominant position.
Cua digs a right hand into Stinker's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Stinker's gas tank.

Cua pushes Stinker against the cage. Cua is working some dirty boxing. Cua pushes off with a quick right hook! Stinker goes down! Stinker tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Cua moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Cua!
A determined Rick Cua didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
