Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fini Braes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nicholas Saoud! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saoud shoots in and gets a takedown into Braes's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Saoud tries to free his leg and advance position but Braes is retaining full guard. Saoud trying to control the position from guard on top but Braes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Saoud throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Braes works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Saoud controls from within his opponent's guard. Braes keeping full guard, as Saoud tries to pass. Saoud pushes down on Braes's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Saoud trying to mount his opponent but Braes defends it. Braes moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Saoud stands and throws Braes's legs to the side, diving into side control. Braes gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Saoud tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Braes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saoud on the ground. Saoud swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
