4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benjamin Sniddlegrass! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sniddlegrass ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sniddlegrass slips a jab from Borne. Borne closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sniddlegrass quickly recovers to half guard. Sniddlegrass is doing well to control the position and prevent Borne from advancing to side control. Borne is looking to take a break and control but Sniddlegrass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sniddlegrass tries to roll over but Borne keeps him under control. Sniddlegrass blocking the ground and pound attempt from Borne. Borne moves into full mount! Sniddlegrass won't be happy about that! Sniddlegrass is trying desperately to improve position. Borne trying to control but Sniddlegrass is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Sniddlegrass tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Sniddlegrass clobbers Borne with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Borne feints and then cracks Sniddlegrass's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sniddlegrass down. Borne throws a leg kick that misses. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Borne!
Sniddlegrass cracks Borne with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Sniddlegrass sizes up Borne with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sniddlegrass fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Borne misses with a hook. Sniddlegrass checks a leg kick. Borne darts in and clinches Sniddlegrass up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sniddlegrass tries a knee to the head but Borne blocks it.

Sniddlegrass lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sniddlegrass. Borne does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Nice jab there from Sniddlegrass. Borne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sniddlegrass manages to avoid it. Borne misses with a low kick. Sniddlegrass lands a nice looking body kick. Benjamin Sniddlegrass is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sniddlegrass keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

A right-left combo lands from Sniddlegrass. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Borne tries to bum rush Sniddlegrass with a series of wild strikes but Sniddlegrass uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Borne clinches up with Sniddlegrass and pushes him back against the cage. Borne is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sniddlegrass to keep the fight standing.
