Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jame Call (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Baldwig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Call's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rainin Men. James Baldwig will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jame Call!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Baldwig!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Call slaps away a takedown attempt from Baldwig, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Baldwig shoots in looking for a takedown. Call tries to sprawl out of it but Baldwig keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Call manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baldwig is defended easily by Call.
Jame Call has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Baldwig.
Call showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Baldwig.
Baldwig fails with a takedown attempt.
Call jabs Baldwig to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Baldwig is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Baldwig looks winded!

Call has taken the fight to the clinch.
Baldwig can't find room to land a body shot as Call controls the action.
Baldwig tries to break free but Call pushes him back against the cage.
Baldwig wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Call lands a right hand.
Call controlling the action here for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baldwig swings wildly with an uppercut but Call uses good head movement to avoid it.
Call's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Baldwig trying to stall but Call improves his position.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jame Call.
Baldwig throws a series of punches but Call avoids them all with ease.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baldwig takes one on the button.

Baldwig fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Call sprawls well initially but Baldwig persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Baldwig is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baldwig is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Baldwig trying to pass the guard but Call defending well.

Call kicks off Baldwig and gets to his feet.
Call stuffs the takedown.
A jab from Call does it's job there.
Call connects with a body shot.

Call shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Baldwig is trying to defend but Call finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Baldwig tries to roll over but Call keeps him under control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Baldwig has hold of Call's hands but Call slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Call lands strikes from half guard.
Call working over Baldwig with some ground and pound. Baldwig looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Baldwig is pressing down on Call's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Call controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Baldwig looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Call stays in close to Baldwig's body and controls the position.
Call connects with a couple of short punches.
Baldwig wants to get back to his feet but Call is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Baldwig looking to hit a scissor sweep but Call is one step ahead there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Call controlling from the top position.
Call trying to control but Baldwig is working from the bottom.
Call stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baldwig swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Baldwig wants to stand up but Call is controlling him.

We're going to have a standup here because Jame Call wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Baldwig swings for the body but Call moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Baldwig takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Call clinches.
Baldwig tries to land knees in the clinch but Call avoids the damage to the body.
Baldwig takes an elbow to the temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jame Call dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Call stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Call wants it to stay on the feet.
Baldwig shoots for a takedown but Call saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jab from Call.


Baldwig is rocked!
Call lands a right hook to the body.
Baldwig is still on wobbly legs! Can Call finish him?
Baldwig takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Call fakes the body blow, causing Baldwig to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Baldwig goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
