Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pepper James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pepper James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Lee! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance. Lee misses with a few strikes there.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt and James counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lee's knee momentarily. Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side. James stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and James wants it to stay on the feet. Pepper James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Lee. Lee shoots in but no luck this time. Lee closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lee closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. James quickly recovers to half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. James looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lee lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. James is concentrating on defense, preventing Lee from advancing position. Lee trying to control from James's half guard. James has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lee lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lee postures up.
Lee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. James keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. James wants to stand and escape but Lee is having none of it. Lee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lee trying to control but James is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rock Lee was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lee misses with a takedown attempt and James counters with a left and a right that stings Lee. James defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee. Lee tries to clinch but James is having none of it. Lee tries for a takedown but James sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. and Lee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. James is trying to break free. Lee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lee has hold of one of James's legs. James is fighting the takedown attempt but Lee gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground. There's a bit of a scramble here and now James is on top in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee wants to take his opponent's back but instead James manages to regain half guard. Lee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Still in half guard, Lee seems content to control. Lee is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. James is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Lee dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lee is trying hard to land a takedown here. James sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Lee on that attempt. Lee shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pepper James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Lee. James slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat. James defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee. Lee darts in and clinches James up against the cage. James tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
James has had enough of the clinch but Lee keeps him there for the moment. Lee tries to pull guard but James won't allow it.
James misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lee.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lee blocks a body shot from James. James jumps guard but Lee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A left hand lands to the body for James.
A frustrated look appears on James's face as he tries to break the clinch. James can't find room to land a body shot as Lee controls the action.
Lee has picked James up - he's going for a ride! Lee dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. James is not content to let Lee control the position. Lee is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Lee trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lee landing strikes from the mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lee prevents James from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lee. James regains half guard. Lee is just content to waste time from the top position. James takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lee drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lee seems to have locked his on tight now - James screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lee, as he picks up the win!
