And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Morris!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Morris.
Juan keeps the fight on the outside.
Juan misses with the combination.
Morris misses with a low kick.
Morris throws a predictable looking body shot

and Juan counters with a single leg into guard. Morris didn't expect that.
Juan prevents Morris from getting back to his feet.
Juan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Morris trying to keep a closed guard but Juan is proving a slippery customer.
Morris is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Juan is controlling him.
Juan trying to control the position from guard on top but Morris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Juan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morris on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Don Juan.
Juan throws a nice looking combination but Morris bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Juan looks to land a combination. Morris sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Morris ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Morris scores with a decent looking hook.
Juan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Morris shoots in looking for a takedown but Juan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Morris's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Juan swings for the body but Morris moves out of range.
Juan tries to clinch up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morris throws a body punch but Juan moves out of range.
Juan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morris sprawls well. Morris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Juan gets slowly back to his feet.
Juan is breathing heavily.
Juan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Morris lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Morris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Morris has Juan up against the cage in a clinch.
Juan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Morris backwards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Juan is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Don Juan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Morris.
Juan wants to get back to striking at distance but Morris won't allow it.

Morris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Morris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Juan is sitting in close to Morris's body. Morris has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Juan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Juan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Morris.
