Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Coleman! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Coleman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jackson misses with a straight left. Coleman tries to clinch and Jackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Coleman's guard now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jackson scoring with some ground and pound. Coleman wants to sweep but no luck. Coleman keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but Coleman has wrist control. Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jackson stops Coleman from standing up. Coleman is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jackson won't allow Coleman to sweep him here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jackson throws a series of punches but Coleman avoids them all with ease. Coleman is looking to clinch. Jackson scores with a takedown into Coleman's guard. Jackson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jackson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. John Jackson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Coleman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Coleman tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Coleman! Coleman regains half guard. Jackson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Coleman is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Coleman wants to improve his position but Jackson is controlling well.
Jackson seems to be looking for submissions.
Jackson is working for a kimura but Coleman is defending it quite comfortably.
Coleman is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jackson jumps into side control! Coleman wants to control but Jackson postures up. Jackson fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Coleman is not content to let Jackson control the position. Coleman can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Jackson is staying active. Jackson throws an elbow but Coleman slips to the side and avoids it well. Coleman tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Coleman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jackson landing a few strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! An elbow from Jackson crashes against the mat.
Coleman is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coleman tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it. Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Coleman circles away. John Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Coleman wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance. Coleman has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jackson jumps guard but Coleman stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coleman throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jackson blocks it with crossed arms. Coleman lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
