Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sly Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Scott's choice of entrance music: Bang - By Barry Scott. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Sly Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Barry Scott!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott throws a good cross that connects.
Randolph throws a shot to the body.
Scott throws a right hand that misses
and Randolph counters with a good, hard body kick but Scott shrugs it off.
Scott drops his hands momentarily and Randolph takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Randolph swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Randolph clobbers Scott with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Scott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Randolph connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Randolph throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Barry Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Randolph throws a looping overhand right but Scott ducks down to avoid it.

Randolph shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Scott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Randolph avoids it really well and circles away.
Sly Randolph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Scott.

and Scott counters with a nice double leg into side control. Randolph won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scott wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Randolph, who protects the arm well.
Scott is staying tight to Randolph's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Randolph is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Scott scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Randolph to see if he's OK.
Randolph is looking to regain half guard here but Scott keeps moving and retains side control.

Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Randolph is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Scott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Randolph is looking to escape.

Randolph wants to hold on but Scott pushes him away.

Scott swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Randolph is now in Scott's guard. A big mistake from Scott there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randolph keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Scott's head.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sly Randolph will probably get the nod.
That's time! Randolph's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Randolph with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Scott to score with a decent uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Randolph chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scott can pounce on him.

Scott works over Randolph's head and body with a nice combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Randolph counters with a nice low kick that buckles Scott's knee momentarily.
Scott drops his hands momentarily and Randolph takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Randolph is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Scott misses the shot to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Scott walks forward, straight into a front kick from Randolph.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Barry Scott.
I think Scott has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
