Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Meyers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Bross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bross has chosen Arthur Brown - Fire as his entrance music. Takeshi Bross told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Meyers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Bross! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bross misses with the combination.
Meyers dodges the punch combination from Bross.
Meyers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bross circles away. Meyers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bross. Meyers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Meyers creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bross tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Meyers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Meyers working the ground and pound. Bross is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Bross manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bross is working for a submission of some sort.
Bross looks gassed! Meyers wants to get back to full guard. Bross wants to pass the guard but Meyers is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meyers punching from the bottom.

Meyers will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bross tries to free his leg and advance position but Meyers is retaining full guard. Meyers doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Meyers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Meyers. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Meyers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bross moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Meyers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bross counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Meyers drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Bross's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bross manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Meyers scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bross wants to get back to full guard. Bross tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Bross actively working from the bottom here. Bross actively working from the bottom here. Bross is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Meyers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Meyers's back! Even with his hooks in, Bross manages to miss with strikes from the back. Bross has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Meyers has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bross doesn't have the hooks in and Meyers manages to turn into his guard.
Bross throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Bross has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Meyers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Meyers throwing strikes from guard but Bross blocks nicely. Bross is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bross wants to sweep but no luck. Bross looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Meyers dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Meyers looks to land a combination but Bross avoids it well. Meyers swats away the attempt to clinch by Bross. Meyers dodges the punch combination from Bross.
Takeshi Bross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bross is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Meyers.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meyers misses with a takedown and Bross counters with a nice leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Meyers keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bross. Meyers misses with a takedown attempt and Bross counters by clinching up. Bross connects with a nasty looking knee right to Meyers's face.

Bross content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Bross is trying to maintain a safe position but Meyers gets an underhook and turns Bross into the cage. Bross lands a knee to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bross lands a knee to the body.

Bross throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Meyers blocks it with crossed arms. Bross misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Meyers.

Bross unloads a knee to the mid-section. Meyers lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Meyers goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bross prevents it.

Bross tries to land a knee to the head but Meyers blocks with his arms.
Meyers drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bross pulls his leg out and moves away.
Meyers with a poor takedown and Bross counters with a two punch combo. Meyers shoots in looking for a takedown. Bross tries to sprawl out of it but Meyers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bross manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Meyers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bross but Bross pushes him off and we're back to square one. Meyers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bross tries to avoid it but Meyers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bross to the ground. Bross escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bross throws a series of punches but Meyers avoids them all with ease. Meyers slips a jab from Bross. Meyers shoots for a takedown but Bross saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bross misses with the combination.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Meyers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bross sprawls well initially but Meyers persists and gets the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takeshi Bross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Mike Meyers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bross missing with a left hand there. Meyers was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bross throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Takeshi Bross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bross connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Meyers closes the distance and clinches up with Bross, looking for a takedown. Meyers pushes Bross against the cage but Bross circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Meyers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Meyers misses with a leg kick. Meyers with a poor takedown and Bross counters with an inside leg kick. Bross tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Meyers paws at him with a jab and circles away. Meyers fails with the takedown. A shot to de liver by Bross. Beautiful body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Meyers scores a takedown into full mount! Meyers landing shots from mount. BOOM! Meyers connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Meyers lands a nice shot to the head. Meyers scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Bross is rocked! Mike Meyers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bross is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Bross is still in real trouble! Can Meyers finish him? Meyers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Bross takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Meyers's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Meyers!
