Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mac Danzig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danzig comes to the cage accompanied by the Smiths - Meat Is Murder. Dog has chosen For U Phoenix Marrizle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mac Danzig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Dog!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog takes one to the side of the head.
Danzig wants to clinch but Dog slips to the side
and Dog counters with a one-two to the body.
Danzig looks to clinch
and Dog counters with a straight right hand.

Danzig fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dog, pushing him back against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Dog manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Danzig tries to stand but Dog is controlling from the bottom.
Danzig has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Danzig avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dog has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Danzig would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Danzig pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dog is keeping the position for now.

Danzig wants to stand but Dog has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Dog has his foot on Danzig's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Danzig works his way back into a safe position though.

Dog is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Danzig defends well.
Dog controls Danzig momentarily but Danzig frees himself.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dog holds on and takes a little breather.
Dog bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Danzig's guard.

Danzig trying to control the position.
Dog works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Dog is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Danzig sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dog wants to lay and pray for a moment but Danzig keeps working.

Dog is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Danzig has managed to free his arm - good work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Danzig is looking for a sweep. Dog is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Danzig makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Danzig.
Dog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Danzig swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dog is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dog wants to control from the top but Danzig keeps moving.
Danzig working a defensive guard but Dog passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Danzig is staying active underneath Dog, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Danzig tries to get to full guard but Dog has control of the leg.
Danzig is trying to stand.

Dog is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Danzig still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Danzig has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Dog is looking to regain half guard here but Danzig keeps moving and retains side control.
Danzig tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dog manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Dog manages to get to full guard.
Danzig trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Dog manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Danzig wants to stand up but Dog is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dog wants to control from the top but Danzig keeps moving.
Dog content to stall in guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crazy Dog dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dog scores with a shot to the body.
Dog drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Danzig tries a head kick but it misses.
Danzig tries to clinch but Dog moves away
and Dog counters with a nice uppercut.
Danzig tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Dog counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Danzig ducks right into an uppercut from Dog.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Danzig misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Danzig gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dog.
Dog circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Dog counter with a right hand.


Danzig is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danzig tries to clinch
and Dog counters with a left to the body.
Dog shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Danzig as he avoids it easily.
Crazy Dog seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Danzig throws a right and a left that Dog avoids nicely.
Danzig tries to clinch
and Dog counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Danzig throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Danzig moves in looking to clinch but Dog pushes him off.
Dog misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Danzig tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Dog counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Danzig looks to clinch
and Dog cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Danzig tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dog connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Danzig uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dog.
Dog jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oh Danzig is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Danzig shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dog has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Dog looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Danzig looks to clinch
and Dog counters with a big right hand! Oh Danzig is in trouble here! Dog follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Crazy Dog!
An out of breath Crazy Dog thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
