Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Naberovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Mirko Naberovich enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Rabago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mirko Naberovich!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago blocks a head kick by Naberovich.

Rabago changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Naberovich looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Naberovich is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rabago asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Rabago tries for a kimura but Naberovich is defending well.

Rabago looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Rabago is looking to take a break and control but Naberovich is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rabago is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Naberovich knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Rabago throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Naberovich's waist but Naberovich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rabago off to one side.
Mirko Naberovich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rabago tries for a takedown but Naberovich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Horrible takedown by Rabago or perhaps it was just good defense by Naberovich which made him look bad.

Rabago is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Naberovich doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rabago.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rabago working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Naberovich looks like he's trying to stand up.

Naberovich makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Naberovich stuffs the takedown attempt from Rabago. Rabago gets slowly back to his feet.

and Rabago counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Rabago dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Naberovich lands with a kick to the temple. Rabago shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Rabago shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Naberovich as he avoids it easily.
Naberovich pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Naberovich instigates a clinch.
Rabago tries to score a body lock takedown but Naberovich shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Naberovich wants to get back to striking at distance but Rabago won't allow it.

Rabago manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Rabago is working an open guard so Naberovich takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Rabago is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Naberovich knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Naberovich for a finish.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rabago is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Tom Rabago showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rabago, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
