Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Blow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Blow has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Blow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nate Thomas! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blow tries to clinch but fails miserably and Thomas counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Blow is lucky that one didn't land flush. Blow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thomas circles away. Blow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Thomas misses with a head kick.
Blow looks to clinch and Thomas counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Blow could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Thomas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Thomas stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Blow to get to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Blow fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blow shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomas tries to sprawl out of it but Blow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Blow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thomas throws a sloppy head kick and Blow moves out of range easily. Blow wants to clinch up but Thomas keeps it at a distance. Blow tries to clinch up but Thomas circles away and keeps his distance. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Blow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Thomas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Blow back to the cage. Thomas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Thomas has Blow up against the cage in a clinch.
Thomas is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Blow wants to break the clinch but can't.
Thomas effectively controlling the action here. Blow tries to circle away but Thomas has him pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thomas no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Thomas controlling Blow's posture. Blow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thomas on the ground. Blow wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving. Thomas will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Blow throwing strikes but missing. Blow scoring with punches to the head and body. Thomas pulls Blow in close to prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blow throws a strike but Thomas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Thomas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Blow pulls Thomas in to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Joe Blow just wasn't active enough. Blow doesn't manage to clinch there - Thomas circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nate Thomas dominated that round. That's time! Blow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Blow moves into the clinch. Thomas wants to break free but Blow has control.
Blow misses with a punch on the inside.
Thomas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Thomas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Thomas is looking for a kimura but Blow is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Thomas to get the leverage. Thomas is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Blow is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nate Thomas!
