Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyrone Spong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daisuke Nakajima!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spong rushes Nakajima and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Spong is pressed up against the cage. Nakajima has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spong down to the mat. Spong avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nakajima keeps the fight on the outside.

Spong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nakajima, pushing him back against the cage.
Nakajima looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Spong softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Spong throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nakajimas head.
A nice left hand lands by Spong.
Come on Spong - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Nakajima pulls Spong into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nakajima is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nakajima has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spong has managed to get both his arms back between Nakajima's legs - danger averted.

Spong tries to stand but Nakajima is controlling from the bottom.

Nakajima doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Nakajima throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Spong clinches.
Spong gets through Nakajima's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Spong just leaning against Nakajima, taking a breather.
Spong dodges an elbow strike from Nakajima.

Spong lands with a right to the head.
Spong lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Nakajima jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spong walks away with a smile on his face. Nakajima gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nakajima tries to keep at a distance but Spong has taken the fight into the clinch.
Spong lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Nakajima is trying to pull guard but Spong has him pressed against the cage.
Tyrone Spong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daisuke Nakajima.
A short uppercut from Spong.
Spong misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Nakajima.
Spong lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Spong lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Nakajima is trying to break the clinch but Spong is controlling him.
Nakajima's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Spong lands a hook that snaps the head of Nakajima backwards.
Nakajima has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Nakajima looks winded!
Spong is pushing Nakajima up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Spong lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Nakajima or not.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nakajima tries to score a body lock takedown but Spong shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Spong fakes the body blow, causing Nakajima to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Nakajima goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
