Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Automatic Vasquel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasquel comes to the cage accompanied by Kung Fu Panda. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Automatic Vasquel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Porter! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Porter shoots in and drives through. Vasquel sprawls well. Porter misses with a head kick.
Vasquel takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Automatic Vasquel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Porter misses with a head kick.
Porter lands with a kick to the temple. Vasquel shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Vasquel shoots and misses and Porter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Porter tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasquel is retaining full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Porter stopping the sweep attempt from Vasquel. Vasquel working for a triangle but Porter defends it easily.
Vasquel is looking for a triangle but Porter pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vasquel can't keep his opponent in guard - Porter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Porter throwing shots but Vasquel is blocking nicely. Vasquel is defending against the submission attempts here by Porter.

Porter works his way into side control. Porter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vasquel knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Porter tries for a kimura but Vasquel is defending well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vasquel is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Porter tries to advance to mount but can't. Porter advances to mount.

Porter looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Porter prevents Vasquel from getting the reversal. Vasquel defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Porter. Vasquel manages to regain half guard. Good work. Vasquel actively working from the bottom here. Porter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vasquel is just riding it out for now. Porter eventually gives up the hold. Vasquel is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasquel moves into full guard.

Porter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Vasquel manages to get back to half guard. Porter is looking to advance position but Vasquel won't allow it. Vasquel looking for submissions off his back. Porter is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Porter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Porter is looking to get to half guard. Porter stops Vasquel from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Porter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vasquel with a lazy takedown attempt and Porter counters with a head kick. That will keep Vasquel thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Porter throws a head kick that misses. Vasquel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Vasquel is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Porter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vasquel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vasquel's back! I really don't envy Vasquel right now.

That's one minute gone in the round. Porter prevents Vasquel from improving his position. Porter passes to full mount! Porter is working for a guillotine from mount but Vasquel frees his head quite easily.
Vasquel is desperately trying to improve his position but Porter has a good base and remains in mount. Porter looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Vasquel manages to regain half guard. Good work. Porter is looking to advance position but Vasquel won't allow it. Vasquel is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Porter pulls his head out easily. Porter working the head and body with strikes. Vasquel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Porter is working for a submission of some sort.

Porter is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Vasquel has managed to free his arm - good work. Vasquel missing with punches from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Vasquel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Vasquel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Porter tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vasquel cracks Porter with an elbow. That is naaassty. Vasquel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Chris Porter has got the better of the ground game so far. Vasquel creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Porter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Porter manages to get back to half guard. Porter works his way to full guard. Good work.

Porter has his foot on Vasquel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vasquel works his way back into a safe position though. Porter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Porter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Vasquel thows a big elbow that misses. Porter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vasquel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vasquel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Vasquel working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Porter's head.

A close second round but Chris Porter will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Porter defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Vasquel. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Porter tries to reverse the position but Vasquel maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasquel has hold of Porter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Porter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Vasquel is working Porter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vasquel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Porter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Vasquel postures up in Porter's guard and throws a big left but Porter blocks it. Porter looking for a sweep. Not yet Porter, not yet. Vasquel drops back looking for a leg! Porter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Porter manages to kick Vasquel off! Vasquel jumps back into Porter's guard. Vasquel preventing the sweep. Automatic Vasquel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vasquel stands up over Porter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Porter thows a body shot but no joy. Vasquel misses with a takedown and Porter counters by moving into the clinch. Porter has clasped his hands together around Vasquel's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Porter has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Porter looking to secure an arm triangle but Vasquel defends it well. Porter working for a submission but Vasquel is keeping him at bay. Vasquel is working to get back to half guard.
Porter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vasquel has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Vasquel swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Vasquel keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Porter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Porter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
