The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bivar throws a poor cross that misses
and Miles counters with a three punch combo that has Bivar backing up. Bivar nods at Miles to acknowledge the strikes.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Miles enables Bivar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Miles manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Miles is controlling Bivar's posture.
Bivar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miles is on top in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bivar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Miles wants to pass the guard but Bivar is keeping the position.
Miles would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bivar can't keep his opponent in guard - Miles advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bivar wants to get back to full guard.
Bivar controlling the position for now.

Miles is pressing down on Bivar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bivar is holding on for now.
Miles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bivar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Miles is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Bivar holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Desmond Miles hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Miles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bivar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miles throws a right hand that misses
and Bivar counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Miles is lucky that one didn't land flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Miles misses with a few strikes there.
Miles misses with a hook to the body
and Bivar counters with a huge head kick that drops Miles! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
