The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuzmin throws a nice looking combination but Samedov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Good standup being displayed there by Samedov as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Sergei Kuzmin has been cut.

Samedov gets a takedown into half guard.

Kuzmin wants to get back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Kuzmin tries to kick Samedov off but Samedov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samedov postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kuzmin to stand up.
Samedov throws a right hand that Kuzmin ducks under and follows up with a left that Kuzmin also avoids with ease.
Samedov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Samedov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Samedov and Kuzmin goes tumbling to the canvas! Samedov follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Kuzmin looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Samedov decides to return to a standing position.
Samedov circles away from the clinch attempt
and Samedov counters with a straight that turns Kuzmin's legs to rubber! Samedov pushes forward with more strikes and Kuzmin goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
