Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kid Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alan Belcher!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kong closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kong lands in his opponent's guard.
Kong distracts Belcher with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belcher is keeping the position for now.
Kong preventing the sweep.
Belcher is trying to keep Kong in close.
Belcher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kong stays in close to Belcher's body and controls the position.
Kong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Belcher looking for a sweep. Not yet Belcher, not yet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kong looking to sit in guard and control but Belcher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kong holds on and takes a little breather.

Belcher postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Belcher, into his guard.
Kong chips away with some ground and pound.
Kong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Belcher keeping moving, preventing Kong from controlling successfully.
Belcher can't keep his opponent in guard - Kong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kong is taking a breather. Belcher says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kong throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kong works his way into side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kong wants to control but Belcher is keeping him busy.

Belcher is looking to reverse the position.
Kong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Belcher keeps working.

Kong landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Kong trying to control the action but Belcher is working from the bottom.

Kong scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Belcher to see if he's OK.
Kong lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Kong just content to control the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Belcher wants to control but Kong postures up.
Belcher is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kong connects with a decent elbow.

Kong cracks Belcher with a big elbow.
Kong wants to control but Belcher is keeping him busy.
Kong landing strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kong lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Belcher down.

Kong is putting a hurting on Belcher here, landing some big shots from side control.
Belcher is not content to let Kong control the position.

Kong is trying to get an arm triangle but Belcher is defending well.
Kong cracks Belcher with a big right hand but Belcher just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kong wants to control but Belcher is keeping him busy.
Belcher can't do much from the bottom here.

Kong slows the pace down.
Kong scores with a couple of short elbows.
Kong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Belcher keeps working.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Belcher struggling a bit here.
Kong connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Belcher some visible discomfort.
Belcher manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Kong winds up and cracks Belcher with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kong throwing shots but Belcher is blocking nicely.
Belcher wants to get back to his feet.
Kong passes to side control.
Kong cracks Belcher with a big elbow.
A lull in the action here as Kong stalls from top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kong trying to control the position but Belcher is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kid Kong dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Belcher shoots and misses

and Kong counters with a shoot takedown. Belcher fights it but they end up in guard.
Kong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kong in particular looking to stall.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Belcher is refusing to be controlled, as Kong sits in half guard.
Belcher is in trouble now - Kong has advanced to mount!
Belcher is trying desperately to improve position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kong controlling from mount.

Kong is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Belcher is surviving well by controlling Kong's body position as best he can.
Kong with shots to the head and body - Belcher looks very uncomfortable down there.
Kong landing punches.
Kong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Belcher can do to turn this around?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kong lands a big shot there that rocks Belcher but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Belcher is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kong landing strikes from the mount.
Kong breaks from Belcher's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Belcher is rocked!
Kong postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Belcher in real trouble here! The ref calls for Belcher to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kid Kong!
Kid Kong decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
