Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Voss Iv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turbo Taines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turbo Taines is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scott Voss Iv! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Turbo Taines! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voss Iv fails with the takedown. Taines manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Voss Iv on his heels. He'll look to pass Voss Iv's guard now, I'm sure. Taines throws a big right hand that misses. Taines lands a couple of digs. Taines throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Taines lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Taines stays in close to Voss Iv's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taines chips away with some ground and pound. Taines controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Voss Iv preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taines loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Taines tries to free his leg and advance position but Voss Iv is retaining full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Taines trying to control but Voss Iv is working from the bottom. Voss Iv looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Taines passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Voss Iv has a hand on Taines's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Taines takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The referee warns Voss Iv that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Taines lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Voss Iv hang on? Taines postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Voss Iv looks a forlorn figure.
Taines tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Taines dominating with strikes here. Taines looking to control and managing it successfully. Taines looking to finish Voss Iv with some ground and pound. This is bad for Voss Iv!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Taines in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Taines is landing with some decent strikes but Voss Iv is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Taines is trying to control here but Voss Iv has managed to regain half guard.
Taines winds up and cracks Voss Iv with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Taines uses his free foot to push down on Voss Iv's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Voss Iv. Taines content just to control the position here. Taines fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taines landing punches. Taines controlling from the full mount. Taines landing strikes from the mount. Voss Iv taking shots to the head. Taines trying to control but Voss Iv is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Taines. Taines takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Taines is landing with some decent strikes but Voss Iv is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Voss Iv tries to lock up and control but Taines gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Voss Iv is breathing heavily. Voss Iv is bucking up trying to escape but Taines cracks him with another couple of good strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Taines lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Voss Iv hang on? Taines is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Voss Iv is rocked! Voss Iv is trying to stand up. Oh Voss Iv is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Voss Iv working to try and regain half guard.
Voss Iv seems to have got his legs back now. Voss Iv takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Voss Iv is looking to get to half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Taines sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Taines looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Turbo Taines dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Taines closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Voss Iv's guard. Voss Iv tries to land a sweep but no joy. Taines not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Taines lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Taines cracks Voss Iv with a solid left hand. Taines trying to control but Voss Iv is working from the bottom. Taines has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Taines is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Taines pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Voss Iv is keeping the position for now. Taines slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Let's hope that Taines has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Turbo Taines. Voss Iv ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taines moves away. Taines shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Taines has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Voss Iv regains full guard. Nicely done. Taines trying to control the position from guard on top but Voss Iv is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Taines might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Voss Iv kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Taines scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Taines sitting and controlling from the half guard. Voss Iv is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Taines scores with a couple of nice shots. Taines seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Voss Iv does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Taines drops an elbow to the side of Voss Iv's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taines looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Turbo Taines showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Taines shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Voss Iv is trying to defend but Taines finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Taines is figuring out what he wants to do next. Taines is trying to control. Voss Iv wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. OK we're going to have a standup here. Turbo Taines hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Taines shoots in for a double leg but Voss Iv sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Taines drives through with a takedown into guard. Taines not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Taines passes easily into side control. Nice work. Voss Iv seems a little lost for a moment, as Taines dominates the positioning. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Voss Iv is looking for a sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taines is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Voss Iv's shoulder. That is not cool. Scott Voss Iv has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Turbo Taines comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Taines has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
