Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesner comes into the arena with down with the sickness blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Baker! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lesner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lesner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Baker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lesner has Baker in his guard. Baker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lesner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lesner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. This has been an exciting period of action! Baker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lesner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Baker has managed to get both his arms back between Lesner's legs - danger averted. Lesner wants to sweep but no luck. Baker wanted to stand there but Lesner had control of the position. Baker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lesner is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker trying to control but Lesner is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lesner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Baker is aware though and is defending well. Baker chips away with some ground and pound. Baker tries to stand but Lesner is controlling from the bottom. Lesner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Baker wants to stand but Lesner has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Baker gets to his feet. Lesner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Baker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Lesner counters with a three punch combo that has Baker backing up. Baker nods at Lesner to acknowledge the strikes. Baker misses with a double jab
and Lesner counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesner trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Baker manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Lesner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Baker is aware though and is defending well. Lesner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Baker wants to control from the top but Lesner keeps moving. Baker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Baker is aware though and is defending well. Baker landing some decent shots from guard. Baker connects with a couple of short punches. Lesner isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Baker stacks Lesner on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Baker! Baker working the ground and pound. Baker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baker decides to take the fight back to the feet. Baker throws a combination that misses and Lesner counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Baker thinking. Baker throws a sloppy head kick and Lesner moves out of range easily. Lesner shoots in and drives through. Baker sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baker throws a right and a left that Lesner avoids nicely. Baker looking to land some kicks to the body here.

and Lesner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baker won't be happy with that. Baker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Lesner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Baker has escaped the position, nice work there. Lesner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Baker, who protects the arm well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lesner goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Baker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lesner but great work by Baker. Lesner is working to avoid the ground and pound but Baker connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brock Lesner will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Baker stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesner. Lesner gets slowly back to his feet. Baker lands a left and a right that send Lesner crashing to the mat, dazed. Baker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Brock Lesner has been cut. Brock Lesner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Baker misses with a combination
and Lesner counters with a low kick, right behind Baker 's knee. Baker connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Lesner covering up! Baker comes in with a big uppercut and Lesner goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Matt Baker!
