Ovechkin has chosen Vodka as his entrance music. Alexander Ovechkin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Ovechkin!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ovechkin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Johnson actively working from the bottom here.
Ovechkin throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Johnson is working Ovechkin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ovechkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

William Johnson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ovechkin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ovechkin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ovechkin is letting Johnson control him for a moment.

Johnson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ovechkin is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Johnson yanks on the arm and Ovechkin is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Johnson.
