Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush comes to the cage accompanied by Tom Sawyer - Rush. Price comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rotten Apple [Remix] - Prodigy & Sean Price kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sean Price has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jesper Rush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Price!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rush moves into the clinch successfully.
Price is trying to break free.
Price misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rush is looking to take this one to the mat.
Rush goes for a takedown attempt but Price pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Rush moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rush tries to clinch there but Price circles away.
Price throws a lazy right hand but Rush sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rush is looking to clinch but Price is avoiding it.
Jesper Rush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rush rushes Price and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Price lands a nice hook to Rush's body. Rush takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesper Rush. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Price jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rush walks away with a smile on his face. Price gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Price counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rush shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Price napping and manages to drive through into side control!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Price parries the strikes from Rush easily there. Rush is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Price to escape.

Rush working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Rush thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Price's head.

Rush wants to work for an arm triangle but Price is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Price has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rush is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Price might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rush kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Rush is keen to just control but Price is a slippery customer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Price is looking to control Rush's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Price avoid being mounted?

Rush lands a nice looking body shot.
Rush shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Price as he jumps to the side.
Rush throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rush moves to clinch but Price breaks away
and Rush takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rush tries to close the distance and clinch up but Price swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Price takes a swing at Rush's ribcage but misses.

Price clobbers Rush with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Price counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rush thinking.
Price rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rush counters with a nice uppercut.
Rush will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rush throws the left hand but Price avoids the punch easily.
Sean Price is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Price keeps the fight on the outside.

and Price counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rush connects with a body shot that sends Price's belly button to the back.

Rush will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Rush throws a wild body kick that Price sees coming a mile off.

Price looks to land a left hand but Rush moved out of range nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jesper Rush will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Rush walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Rush closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Price to the mat! Price manages to get full guard.
Rush throws an elbow that misses. Price uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rush's guard. Nice move by Price!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Price stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rush swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rush keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully.
Price wants to stand and escape but instead Rush has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sean Price has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rush got a little sloppy there for a moment and Price has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rush has managed to get both his arms back between Price's legs - danger averted.

Rush seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rush, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
