Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Along Recto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sang Min Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Along Recto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sang Min Kim!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Recto looks for the body kick but Kim saw that one coming.

Sang Min Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Recto tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Recto looks to land a combination but Kim avoids it well.
No joy there for Recto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Recto takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kim thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Recto if he has to take too many more of those.

Kim moves into range and clinches up with Recto.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kim fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Recto on the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A nice right hand lands inside from Kim.
Recto tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kim smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sang Min Kim dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kim fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Recto.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Recto. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Kim uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Recto has time to react.
Kim throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Recto crashing down! Recto tries to stagger back to his feet but Kim just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Recto asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sang Min Kim!
During a confident post fight interview, Sang Min Kim thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
