Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Okin Slavas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mathew Winzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slavas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is WolfMother. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winzer misses with a takedown attempt
and Slavas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Winzer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Slavas.
Slavas looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Winzer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Slavas controlling from the top position.
Winzer wants to sweep but no luck.
Slavas advances position into side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slavas is working Winzer over with some ground and pound from side control.

Slavas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Slavas is trying to get an arm triangle but Winzer is defending well.
Slavas is working to tighten is grip on Winzer's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Winzer has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Slavas is really squeezing tight and eventually Winzer passes out! Slavas breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Okin Slavas is the new middleweight champion!
Okin Slavas was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
