Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Freddie Scott Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Costa! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott Miller swings widly with a right hand
and Costa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Costa clinches. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Costa taking a breather. Costa manages to break the clinch.
Freddie Scott Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scott Miller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Costa. Costa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Scott Miller as he jumps to the side. Scott Miller thows a body shot but no joy. Scott Miller throws an overhand right that lands on Costa's shoulder, as Costa tries to avoid the shot. Costa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Costa misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Costa is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Scott Miller is defending well. Freddie Scott Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Costa. Scott Miller stalls. Costa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Scott Miller loads up on a big right hand but Costa slips the punch. Freddie Scott Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Scott Miller throws an overhand right that lands on Costa's shoulder, as Costa tries to avoid the shot. Costa shoots in and drives through. Scott Miller sprawls well. Scott Miller misses with a lunging right hand
and Costa counters with a leg kick. Costa has a takedown stuffed. Scott Miller swats away the attempt to clinch by Costa. Scott Miller stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Costa.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott Miller scores with a nice head shot. Costa shoots in looking for a takedown. Scott Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Costa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scott Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Costa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Scott Miller but Scott Miller pushes him off and we're back to square one. Costa looks winded! Scott Miller misses with a body shot.
Scott Miller throws a hook to the side of Costa's head but Costa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Costa shoots in looking for a takedown. Scott Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Costa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scott Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Scott Miller misses the jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Costa takes one on the button. Scott Miller misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Costa throws a right hand that Scott Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Scott Miller also avoids with ease. Costa misses with a body kick. Scott Miller throws a one two combo.
Costa is rocked! A big right followed by a crushing left from Scott Miller knocks Costa out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
