Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Kobashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuri Sikura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenta Kobashi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuri Sikura! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kobashi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kobashi lands with a shot to the body. Kobashi ducks under a wild hook from Sikura. Kobashi listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Sikura throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Sikura shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Sikura keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sikura on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kobashi. Kobashi obviously looking to wear him down.
Sikura jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kobashi lands a nice shot that snaps Sikura's head back.
Sikura on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! An inside leg kick lands from Kobashi. An inside leg kick lands from Kobashi. Kobashi is looking to slow Sikura down with leg kicks. Kobashi lands a leg kick that knocks Sikura off balance momentarily. A slow jab from Sikura misses its intended target. Kobashi stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobashi checks a low kick from Sikura. A slapping leg kick lands for Kobashi.
Kenta Kobashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kobashi thumps Sikura with a low kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sikura. Sikura looks winded! Kobashi throws a head kick but Sikura moves out of range.
Sikura has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kobashi. Sikura stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kobashi. Kobashi throws a head kick but Sikura moves out of range.
Sikura takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sikura shoots in looking for a takedown but Kobashi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sikura's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kenta Kobashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuri Sikura. Sikura walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kobashi. Kobashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Sikura takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kobashi connects with a leg kick. Sikura looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kobashi pushes Sikura away with a front kick. Kobashi lands a leg kick that knocks Sikura off balance momentarily. A good leg kick by Kobashi. Kobashi scores with a head kick.
Kobashi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Sikura walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kobashi thuds a left hand into Sikura's body. A good leg kick by Kobashi. Kobashi connects with a leg kick. Sikura looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Kobashi lands with a kick to the temple. Sikura shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Sikura is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kobashi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sikura. Kobashi throws a head kick but Sikura moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kobashi throws a head kick that misses. Sikura throws a chopping leg kick but Kobashi manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kobashi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sikura shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kobashi defends it nicely. Kobashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sikura. That did some damage! Sikura looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kobashi is fending him off so far but Sikura persists. Nope, Kobashi circles away and we're back to standing. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kobashi. Sikura shrugs it off though. A slapping leg kick lands for Kobashi.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kobashi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kobashi throws a head kick that half lands.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kobashi throws a shot to the body.
Kobashi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kobashi lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kobashi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice body kick there by Kobashi. Kobashi throws a quick inside leg kick. Sikura takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sikura takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A good leg kick by Kobashi. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kobashi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sikura. Kobashi's corner calls for a 1-2. Kobashi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Kobashi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kobashi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenta Kobashi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kobashi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sikura crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kobashi - the referee stops the clock and Sikura gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kobashi. Sikura manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. A good leg kick by Kobashi. Sikura moves forwards but Kobashi connects with a nice, crisp jab. A nice leg kick lands there from Kobashi. Kobashi listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kobashi, as that shot connected.

Kobashi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sikura has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Sikura is breathing heavily. Whack! Kobashi lands a heavy head kick that drops Sikura. The ref tackles Kobashi to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sikura was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Kenta Kobashi! Kenta Kobashi retains his middleweight title! In his post fight interview, Kenta Kobashi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
