The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pekka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
toole throws a leg kick but Pekka checks it.
Pekka fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. toole sprawls well initially but Pekka persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pekka is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, toole has managed to free his arm - good work.

toole closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pekka circles away.

Pekka darts in and clinches toole up against the cage.
toole breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

toole will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pekka feints and as toole raises his hands in defense, Pekka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
toole knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pekka on the ground.
toole is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pekka stands up and waves to toole to follow him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pekka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. toole can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
toole has given up his back here. Will Pekka look for the submission or keep pounding away?
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
