Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donovan Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Collin May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Duncan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Here Comes the Boom-Intimidation. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Donovan Duncan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Collin May!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duncan gets a takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
May works his way to full guard. Good work.
May is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

May is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Duncan has managed to free his arm - good work.
May thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Duncan's head.
May is looking to pass Duncan's guard but actually Duncan recovers to full guard.
May lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Duncan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from May.
Duncan keeping moving, preventing May from controlling successfully.
May engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A jab from Duncan misses.
May shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duncan but Duncan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and May counters with a nice double leg into side control. Duncan won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

May wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Duncan, who protects the arm well.
May trying to control the position but Duncan is working away.

May has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Duncan!
May looking to control and managing it successfully.
May wants to control the pace but Duncan is squirming around nicely.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

May wants to clinch.
Duncan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Duncan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
May tries to clinch but Duncan is having none of it.
Duncan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but May paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Duncan fails with an attempt to clinch.

May throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Duncan was covering up waiting for the punch and May finishes the takedown easily into guard.

May drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Duncan dives on top into guard.

May looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
May trying to control the position.

May working for a triangle but Duncan defends it easily.

May is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duncan defends well.

Duncan wants to control from the top but May keeps moving.

May looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Duncan has picked May up and slammed him! May can't keep hold of the triangle and Duncan manages to pass to side control!

May tries to strike but it doesn't land.
May tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Duncan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Collin May has got the better of the ground game so far.
May struggling a bit here.
May gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
May holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
May wants to improve his position but Duncan is controlling well.
May is pressing down on Duncan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Duncan stopping the sweep attempt from May.

May has an active guard here but Duncan has managed to pass into half guard.
May is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Collin May showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Some wild striking there from May.
Duncan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duncan wants it to stay on the feet.
May misses with a head kick.
Duncan throws a head kick but May moves out of range.
May keeps the fight on the outside.
Duncan tries to clinch up but May circles away and keeps his distance.
Duncan is looking to clinch.

Duncan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches May napping and manages to drive through into side control!
May looking for a sweep but Duncan has passed into full mount! Oh no!
May bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
May slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

May is looking to work some ground and pound but Duncan has wrist control.
May sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Duncan lands a decent shot there.
May postures up.
Duncan wants to get back to his feet but May is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
May landing some decent shots from guard.
Collin May is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

May engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Collin May was stalling too much, according to the referee.

May looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Duncan tries to get to full guard but May has control of the leg.
May keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
May passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Duncan!

May raining down hammerfists from mount.
May landing strikes from the mount and Duncan is in trouble!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
May takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Donovan Duncan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Collin May comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got May winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
