Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kert Nigobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Poldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kert Nigobson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kert Nigobson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Poldi! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poldi misses with a body shot.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Poldi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nigobson - the referee stops the clock and Poldi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nigobson. Poldi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Nigobson fails with a takedown attempt. Nigobson throws a jab but it's blocked by Poldi. Nigobson has managed to clinch.
Nigobson jumps guard but Poldi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Nigobson is trying to pull guard but Poldi turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kert Nigobson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head punch blocked on the inside by Poldi. Nigobson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Poldis head. Nigobson content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Poldi pushes off an throws an elbow but Nigobson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Nigobson avoiding damage as Poldi throws knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nigobson jumps guard and drags Poldi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Nigobson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poldi trying to control but Nigobson is working from the bottom. Poldi wants to pass the guard but Nigobson is keeping the position. Poldi trying to control the position from guard on top but Nigobson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Poldi looking to pass the guard. Nigobson controls Poldi momentarily but Poldi frees himself.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Poldi tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nigobson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Poldi wants to clinch. Nigobson shoots in but no luck this time. Jack Poldi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poldi looks to land a left hand but Nigobson moved out of range nicely. Nigobson shoots in looking for a takedown. Poldi tries to sprawl out of it but Nigobson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Poldi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nigobson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Poldi tries to clinch but Nigobson is having none of it. Poldi throws a chopping leg kick but Nigobson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. The fighters circling - Poldi throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Poldi lands a jab to Nigobson's midsection. Nigobson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Poldi won't allow Nigobson to pass to mount. Nigobson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Poldi trying to hold on to Nigobson's head to control him but Nigobson postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nigobson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Poldi! Poldi is working to get back to half guard.
Nigobson landing strikes, looking to finish! Nigobson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nigobson with the ground and pound from mount. Poldi wants to hold on but Nigobson pushes him away. Poldi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Nigobson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
This has been an exciting period of action! Poor strikes thrown by Nigobson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Poldi is rocked! Poldi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Poldi is still in real trouble! Can Nigobson finish him? Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Poldi takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Nigobson's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
