Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gatsby Seed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gatsby Seed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Ward! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward stuffs the takedown. Ward shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ward was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Seed is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ward is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Seed to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Seed shrugs it off. Seed tries to hold on but Ward pushes him away. Ward goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Seed turns into him and now he's in Ward's guard.
Seed passes Ward's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ward makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ward.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ward avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Seed wants to stand but Ward is controlling his posture from full guard. Ward wants to sweep but no luck. Ward looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ward is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ward drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Seed manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ward has Seed in his guard. Seed really is a fat lump. Seed not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seed missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Seed seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ward trying to control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Gatsby Seed wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Seed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seed wants it to stay on the feet. Seed misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ward shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Seed as he avoids it easily. Seed fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ward avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gatsby Seed. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ward shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ward is pushing down on Seed's leg trying to pass to half guard. Seed is fighting to maintain full guard but Ward has managed to sneak the leg through. Ward is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Seed is just riding it out for now. Ward eventually gives up the hold. Seed punching from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ward is working for a kimura but Seed is defending it quite comfortably.

Peter Ward dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Seed is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ward will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Seed tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ward looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Seed! Peter Ward has got the better of the ground game so far. Ward is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Seed is surviving well by controlling Ward's body position as best he can. Ward throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Seed has his hands clasped together but Ward breaks the hold and Seed is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Ward!
