Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martim Relvas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martim Relvas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesus Cruz! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Relvas's guard. Cruz throwing strikes but missing. Relvas wants to sweep but no luck. Cruz trying to stand up but can't free himself from Relvas's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Relvas is on top in guard.
Cruz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cruz keeping moving, preventing Relvas from controlling successfully. Relvas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cruz keeping moving, preventing Relvas from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Relvas wanted to stand there but Cruz had control of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Relvas tries to free his leg and advance position but Cruz is retaining full guard. Cruz trying to strike off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A momentary lapse in concentration from Relvas enables Cruz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Relvas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Relvas working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz won't allow Relvas to sweep him here. Cruz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Relvas looking for a sweep. Not yet Relvas, not yet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cruz fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cruz lands in his opponent's guard. Cruz's corner is telling him to maintain position. Relvas controls Cruz momentarily but Cruz frees himself. Cruz looking to pass the guard. Cruz makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Relvas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cruz. Relvas is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cruz tries to free his leg and advance position but Relvas is retaining full guard. Relvas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cruz looking to sit in guard and control but Relvas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cruz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Relvas is aware though and is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Relvas wants to control from the top but Cruz keeps moving. Relvas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Cruz dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Relvas takes a body punch but keeps moving. Relvas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Relvas showed some decent athleticism there. Cruz is looking to escape. Relvas missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Relvas is looking for a kimura but Cruz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Relvas to get the leverage. Cruz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Relvas is working away from the top position though. Cruz scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Relvas manages to mount him!
Cruz tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Relvas has taken his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz breaks Relvas's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Cruz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Relvas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Relvas manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cruz tries to control Relvas's body but Relvas pushes him off. Cruz squirms to his side and now Relvas has his back! Relvas has the hooks in. Cruz is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Cruz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Relvas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Relvas is controlling the position but Cruz somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Relvas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cruz keeps working. Relvas is trying for a kimura here. Cruz looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Relvas wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Martim Relvas!
