Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marty Mcghee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mcghee's choice of entrance music: Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marty Mcghee!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcghee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hall misses with a wild combination.
Hall cracks Mcghee with a good jab.
Mcghee misses with a jab to the body
enabling Hall to counter with a crisp jab.
Mcghee throws a jab when Hall was well out of range.
Hall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Mcghee lands with a straight right. Hall didn't see that one coming.
Mcghee misses with a double jab.
Hall misses with a body shot.
Hall throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mcghee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mcghee.

and Mcghee counters with a nice uppercut.

Mcghee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hall manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Mcghee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hall dives on top into guard.

Hall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mcghee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hall's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hall's back!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mcghee's guard. Nice work there by Hall.
Mcghee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mcghee is landing with some decent strikes but Hall is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Mcghee takes Hall's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Hall is in trouble.

Hall staying busy and making it hard for Mcghee to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
You can see the frustration on Hall's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Hall turns into Mcghee and is now in his guard.
Hall wants to stand but Mcghee is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hall drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mcghee dives on top into guard.
Hall is breathing heavily.
Mcghee passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hall is not content to let Mcghee control the position.
Mcghee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hall kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mcghee is looking to slow Hall down with leg kicks.
Hall misses with a double jab.
Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mcghee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mcghee wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving.
Mcghee won't allow Hall to get back to his feet.

Hall is looking for a triangle but Mcghee pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mcghee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Hall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcghee defends well.

Mcghee is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hall defends it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hall is staying active underneath Mcghee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hall shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mcghee eats them both and turns towards Hall to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mcghee takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hall. Mcghee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hall connects with a single shot there.

Mcghee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mcghee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hall has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hall is not content to let Mcghee control the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hall is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mcghee off and has taken his back!

Hall is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Mcghee defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mcghee is in a bad position with Hall working for a choke. Mcghee manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Mcghee stands and throws Hall's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Marty Mcghee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Mcghee fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hall to the ground. Mcghee is now in Hall's guard.

Hall is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

You can see the frustration on Hall's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mcghee happy to just control the position for now.

Mcghee swings around for an armbar but Hall sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mcghee's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mcghee controls Hall momentarily but Hall frees himself.

Marty Mcghee has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Mcghee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hall was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcghee finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hall is looking to stand up but Mcghee isn't so interested in that idea.

Hall is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
