The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jong Dong tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gerard counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Kim Jong Dong has been cut.
Jong Dong has his takedown stuffed
and Gerard makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jong Dong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gerard paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gerard moves into the clinch successfully.

Gerard has clasped his hands together around Jong Dong's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gerard lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Gerard has hold of Jong Dong's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jong Dong seems comfortable defending it but Gerard has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jong Dong is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jong Dong is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gerard couldn't care less - he's delighted!
