And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels throws a series of punches but Murakami avoids them all with ease.
Murakami shoots in for a takedown but Michaels shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Murakami tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Michaels counters with a good low kick that Murakami was not able to check.
Murakami shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Murakami throws a head kick that misses.
Michaels throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sloppy strikes from Michaels. Those never looked like landing.
Murakami doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Michaels counters with a nice low kick that buckles Murakami's knee momentarily.
Chris Michaels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hideaki Murakami.
Michaels misses with a few strikes there.
Michaels throws a body punch but Murakami moves out of range.
Michaels circles away from the clinch attempt
and Michaels counters with a nice low kick that buckles Murakami's knee momentarily.
Michaels pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Murakami back to the cage. Michaels follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Murakami moves to clinch but Michaels breaks away
and Michaels counters with a one-two to the body.
It looks like Hideaki Murakami has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Michaels tries to land a front kick but Murakami steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Michaels counters with a stiff right hand.
Michaels swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Murakami closes the distance looking to clinch
and Michaels counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Murakami is rocked!
Michaels leaves Murakami with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Murakami looks winded!
Michaels throws a combination. Murakami tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Murakami is still on wobbly legs! Can Michaels finish him?
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Michaels lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Murakami has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Murakami and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Michaels uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murakami.
Murakami seems to have recovered his senses.
Murakami is looking to chop away at Michaels's legs.
Murakami tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Michaels counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Michaels looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Murakami shoots in but no luck this time.
Murakami is trying desperately to land a takedown but Michaels is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Murakami.
Murakami tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Michaels counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Murakami has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chris Michaels!
An out of breath Chris Michaels thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
