Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joelmir Subzero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joelmir Subzero!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morgan clinches.

Morgan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Morgan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Morgan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Subzero controls the pace.

Subzero drops back looking for a leg! Morgan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morgan manages to kick Subzero off! Subzero jumps back into Morgan's guard.

Morgan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Subzero on the ground.
Subzero prevents Morgan from getting back to his feet.
Subzero controlling from the top position.

Subzero trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Subzero controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joelmir Subzero.

Subzero shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Morgan is trying to defend but Subzero finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Subzero is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Subzero is nestled in close to Morgan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Subzero throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Well, if Subzero is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joelmir Subzero hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Subzero wants to clinch.
Subzero closes the distance but Morgan moves to the side

so Morgan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Subzero controls Morgan momentarily but Morgan frees himself.

Morgan is sitting in close to Subzero's body. Subzero has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Morgan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Morgan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Subzero.
