Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Rowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Prindle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prindle is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Otherside. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chad Rowe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Prindle! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowe fails with a takedown attempt. Prindle throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rowe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Prindle is in Rowe's guard. Prindle prevents Rowe from getting back to his feet. Rowe trying to strike off his back.
Rowe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Prindle pushes down on Rowe's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rowe is staying active underneath Prindle, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Prindle is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rowe flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Prindle wants to free his trapped foot but Rowe is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rowe connecting with a few gentle strikes. Prindle wants to work for an arm triangle but Rowe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rowe wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prindle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rowe is just riding it out for now. Prindle eventually gives up the hold. Rowe missing with punches from the bottom.
Prindle wants to take a breather but Rowe is having none of it. Prindle prevents Rowe from improving his position. Rowe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Prindle on the ground. Prindle is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rowe sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rowe punching from the bottom.
Prindle prevents Rowe from improving his position. Rowe misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Prindle working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowe throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Prindle manages to pass to side control. Prindle slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Rowe. Prindle tries to control but Rowe wriggling away. Prindle won't let Rowe get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rowe is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Prindle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rowe is looking to escape. Prindle blocks Rowe's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Prindle working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Prindle jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rowe manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prindle is trying to get an arm triangle but Rowe is defending well. Rowe is trying to escape and get back to his feet. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Rowe tries to improve position but can't. Rowe throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Rowe tries to strike but it doesn't land. Rowe wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Prindle has hold of Rowe's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rowe tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Prindle cranks the arm and Rowe screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rowe, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Eric Prindle! A relieved looking Eric Prindle thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
