Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Legato Effrairo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Benn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Geto Boys - Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Effrairo rushes Benn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Benn tries for a takedown but Effrairo manages to get underhooks.
Effrairo breaks from the clinch.
Benn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Effrairo pinned against the cage. Effrairo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Effrairo misses with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Benn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Benn lands in his opponent's guard.
Benn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Benn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Effrairo controls the position for a moment.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Benn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Legato Effrairo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Horrible takedown by Benn or perhaps it was just good defense by Effrairo which made him look bad.

Benn throws a nice looking combination but Effrairo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Benn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Benn.

and Benn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice defenses there by Effrairo.

Effrairo clinches up against the cage.
Effrairo manages to break the clinch.
Benn misses with the body kick
and Effrairo counters with an inside leg kick.
Benn throws a sloppy head kick
and Effrairo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Effrairo scores with a nice hook to the head.
Effrairo lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Benn.

A right hook to the body lands for Effrairo.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Effrairo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Effrairo lands a hook that snaps the head of Benn backwards.
Effrairo pushes Benn back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Effrairo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Effrairo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Benn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Effrairo.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Legato Effrairo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Effrairo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Benn.
BOOM! Effrairo lands a beautiful left hook that drops Benn. Benn tries to recover but Effrairo is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Benn lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
